30 End of the Month

End of the month = busy, busy time at work. I opted for this casual outfit at work today, well, because I can. The top is a lot more casual than I would typically wear to work, but since I'm going to be chained to my desk all day I figured it would be fine.

Thursday's Outfit
Black tee - Kohl's
Printed skirt - JCPenney (reminds me of watercolors, right?)
Black belt - NY and Co
Black sandals - Nine West
Necklace - Target

Have a great day everyone!

29 Wednesday's Outift

Since I did not go to work yesterday, I have a busy few days ahead of me. The water went down on my street later in the afternoon and all was fine. I actually finally went to get my passport, had lunch with a friend, and ran a couple of errands, so the day wasn't a total waste!

Wednesday's Outfit
Patterned top - JCPenney
Grey pinstripe pants - Old Navy
Black studded belt - Target
Grey peep wedges - Payless

Before starting this blog, there is no way I would have ever worn patterned pants with a patterned way. But, I finally have realized if they are in the same color's fine. I know I'm not a big risk taker fashion wise, but baby steps, people! Also, I have a black belt and grey shoes...a big no-no in my book, but the grey belts I have are too wide or too thin for this outfit, so I said, "what the hell" and did it.

Have a great day!

28 No Work Today!

No outfit post for today or even yesterday...I forgot to take my pic yesterday. But, I'm not at work today due to flooding in our area. Here is what my street looked like at 7am. Nice, huh? They closed our office because the water is so high in the area, I'm getting caught up on reading blogs, etc.

That's the BF's truck on the right, at one point the water was up on the front tires!

Just wanted to also touch on all the wonderful comments and followers/readers this little blog has been getting...thanks so much! If you have a direct question, and leave it in the comments, I will answer it there or I will email you (if your email is available on your profile), or if you'd like to email me directly, please do so! Have a great day!

23 So Ready for the Weekend

Am I the only one who's so ready for the weekend? Right?

Thursday's Outfit
Blue paisley dress - Ross
Navy s/s cardi - NY and Co
Brown sandals - Nine West
Necklace - Ann Taylor Loft

I scored this dress at Ross for $5.99!!! That was the "normal" price, so imagine if it was on clearance. I typically hate going into Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, etc. The store (imo) always seems picked over and a total mess, but sometimes when I'm with a couple of friends or more often alone, I can get my mind right and go in there. I tend to only buy dresses at these stores because I hate trying stuff on!

Using Kimberly's idea to use the self belt to tie outside of the cardigan...I like the way it turned out!

20 Monday - 22 Wednesday

Monday's Outfit
Cream ruffle shirt - Target
Jacket - Target
Pants - Forth & Towne
Brown sandals - Nine West
Necklace - Kohl's

Tuesday's Outfit
Black cami - AGX
Black smocked shirt - Kmart
Herringbone pants - Old Navy
Black peeps - Enzo
Black studded belt - Target

Wednesday's Outfit
Blue cami - Old Navy
Blue v-neck - Old Navy
Pin stripe pants - Old Navy
Grey peep wedges - Payless
Navy scarf - Target

I've been so lazy this week...I haven't even really done my hair all week...I mean, yea, I brush it, but I've been just pulling it back in a little clippy and not even curling it/styling it. Work is crazy busy right now!! My favorite out of these 3 days is Tuesday...I love the shirt and I love the lucky they go together! I know I've worn the Wednesday outfit many times already, but it's an easy go to and I was running late, love the new scarf though (worn that already too!)
Thanks for the birthday wishes and for coming and reading and/or commenting...I love reading what you liked, what you didn't, and any suggestions. Have a great day!

Last Week's Dress a Day

Outfits from Last week...been so, so busy!!! And AT&T finally got their head on straight and got my internet back and running!

Monday the 13th
Green/white dress - CAbi
Purple cami - Old Navy
Brown peep pumps - Shoe Cents
Necklace - Ann Taylor Loft
Cute dog - Belle
Love CAbi, don't love the price, but I got a deep discount on this.

Tuesday the 14th
Khaki dress - Ross
Red peeps - Ross
Gold Necklace - NY street vendor
Animal print cardi - NY and Co (not shown, but I wore it)
Not really feeling this and think I need to get the little self belt taken off so I can wear a regular one. I also totally felt like a girl scout and even though I was one when I was younger, I don't want to look like one now. I was going for the whole safari dress look, didn't really do it for me.

Wednesday the 15th (My Birthday!!!!)
Floral dress - Old Navy
Brown sandals - Nine West
White pointelle cardi - Old Navy
Gold necklace - NY and Co

I really love this dress, so much that I'm a bit tempted to get the navy and pink one just like it. Although I might take the self belt off of this one too b/c I have a brown belt that I think would make this look better. I had a great birthday, worked, dinner w/the boyfriend and presents. I'm so old now though....33!!!

Thursday the 16th

Black dress - Ross
Black peeps - Enzo
Red cami - AGX
Black necklace - Target
Love this dress, feels a little 50's housewife-ish, but love it anyway. I can take the belt off of this one and wear my own.

Friday the 17th
White tee - Old Navy
Denim dress - Target
Necklace - Made by Holley
Brown wedges - Kmart

This necklace was a birthday gift from Holley, one of my very good friends. She's getting her etsy store together, so hopefully soon she'll have some stuff up and ready for everyone! This denim is ultra light weight and very easy. We don't have Kmart's in Houston, but when I went to the valley in March I bought these.
As far as a dress a day week....not interested in doing it again. I'm not into dresses and feel better in pants, but I do think dresses are cute and I'm trying to buy more and incorporate more in my wardrobe, I know the BF loves them so I'm going to try to get out of my pants rut.

16 I'm Still Here...Really

Okay so another issue with AT&T so no outfit posting until probably next week. But, I am taking pictures of stuff I've been wearing this week. It's my Dress a Day Week that I decided to do since I've purchased so many cute dresses lately.

I'll post pics as soon as possible!

Thanks for stopping by my blog, for the new followers and commenters, I really appreciate it!

Have a great day!

09 Thursday's Outfit

So my pursuit of VIP tickets didn't go well. We literally had 4 people on a conference call all trying online to get in for the top tier VIP luck. They sold out so we had to settle for the second level VIP tickets. This means no picture with the guys, but at least I will be at the concert. I'm trying not to be too greedy (it's hard!!) and realize that everything happens for a reason. Yes, I am really that upset about concert tickets! I'll live and we have the top tier VIP for the day before in Dallas, so that's good!

Thursday's Outfit
White cami - AGX
Metallic striped scoop neck - Ann Taylor Loft
Grey pin striped pants - Old Navy
Grey vest - NY and Co
Grey peep toes - Payless
Necklace - NY and Co

I wanted to try the vest out again, but I just haven't found anything in my closet that looks "right." I think it also has to do with the fact that the vest doesn't fit 100% properly, but this will have to do!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by the blog!

08 Hopeful on this Wednesday

I took pictures of me wearing this skirt, but I ended up changing into black pants. The skirt is a bit high waisted on me, which is fine, but I thought it might be too short in the back for work. The BF of course said it was fine, but I'm not sure.....

Wednesday's Outfit
White tee - Target
Black skirt - Old Navy ($4.50!)
Blue cardi - Target
Scarf - Target
Black slingbacks - Nine West

I even tried the shortest heels to make the skirt look appropriate, but I'm not sure still...maybe with a different top.

I'm hopeful today because NKOTB tickets go on sale today and it's going to be a battle to get the 5* VIP ones that my friends and I want. Dallas sold out in like 7 minutes (VIP) or something like that, so I'm hopeful we can get the ones we want for Houston. Wish me luck!

07 Tuesday's Outfit

I think a lot of the country is experiencing unseasonably cold temperatures. I know we are here in Houston! I've worn this sweater a couple of times before, but have decided that next year I will be wearing it more often...I love it! It only cost me $7 at where else? You guessed it...Target!

Tuesday's Outfit
Cream gathered v neck - NY and Co
Burgundy sweater - Target
Brown/white pants - Forth and Towne
Brown pumps - Macy's
Necklace - Some shop on Harwin

06 Monday's Outfit

I got this dress on for something like $'s going to be so versatile. I think I might want to take the sleeves off like Danielle of Fell 4 Fashion because this would make it easier to wear shirts underneath and just be more of a sheath type dress.

I got so many compliments on this and I guess since I do not wear skirts and/or dresses very often, everyone told me how dressed up I was!

Monday's Outfit
Black ponte dress - Target
Animal print cardi - NY and Co
Necklace - Old Navy
Tights - Target
Shoes - Payless
Belt - NY and Co
