Outfit Details:
Black cami - AGX
Lace print cardigan - H&M
Black pants - Forth & Towne

02 September 09

I'm using the Style Inspiration Calendar today, so easy to not have to think about what to wear! Not much to say today about my outfit. I hope everyone has a great day! Oh, and can't wait to see Real Housewives ATL tonight...loving it!

Outfit Details:
Grey cami - Target
Purple paisley kimono top - F21/Faith21
Grey pencil skirt - Old Navy
Burgundy heels - Nine West

First of the Month - September

Wow, can you believe it's September already?!?

A shout out to Kimberly over at Fab Finds Under $50 for putting together her monthly Style Inspiration Calendar. You might notice over on the right I have the little badge she created as I am one of the "inspirations" for the month. My suggestion comes later in the month, so I'll be sure to post something then. If you're visiting from FF, hello, add me to your reader already!

Outfit Details:
Blue cami - Old Navy
Cardigan - NY and Co (what color is this? no clue, and of course I got 2 other colors in this style)
Brown "tweedish" pants - Forth and Towne
Brown belt - NY and Co
Brown Balboa heels - Nine West (same pair as yesterday, different color)
Jewel tone necklace - Target

In this pic, I think the belt looks a little high, my natural waist is lower, I fixed it a bit after the picture. I also didn't have my necklace on, but put it on right after this.

31 August

I got this dress months ago and have only worn it once. It really is a great summer/spring piece, but for the office, I need to put a cami on under it and a sweater on over it.
These shoes are new and I LOVE them! Got them in brown too. I was a little worried about the patent leather, but since I don't do it often decided I should.

Outfit Details:
Black cami - AGX
Printed dress - JCP
Black kimono sleeve sweater - Loft
Black patent heels -Nine West (they're on sale too!)
Necklace - NY and Co

A Little Bit of Catch Up

Here is what I wore on Monday, August 24th.

I seriously need to try taking better pictures...or go back to chopping my head off. I'm not naturally photogenic, and I'm not just saying that to be down on myself, it's just the truth. Some people are and those are typically who don't chop their head off in pictures. Anyway, on to the details.

Outfit Details:
Flutter sleeve striped shirt - Banana Republic (it's navy/white)
Pink Sweater w/tie belt - Loft
Navy pin stripe pants - Old Navy
Pearl necklace - Charming Charlie
Brown peeps - Steve Madden via Ross

Weekend Outfit

Something casual for a day spent lounging, lunching, and going to the movies with my favorite guy. I have never been one to wear a skirt just because, but when I found this one at Target, I thought, "why not?"

I'm definitely scared of knits on the bottom half of my body because let's face it, I have a lot of junk in the trunk. I'm a fan of other people making knits look great and effortless, but I think this skirt isn't something I would ever wear to work.

Excuse the hair...I didn't really do much to myself other than get dressed, not a fan of makeup on the weekends either.
Weekend Outfit:
White tank - AGX
Orange tank - Target
Brown knit skirt - Target
Brown wedges - Target
Necklace - Charming Charlie

Last Thursday's Outfit 08/20/09

I love this cardigan, shirt, and shoes! The shirt is a purchase back from June when I was in Indiana. Gotta love H&M! I wonder why they don't open up a store in Texas, I mean, come on!
Last Thursday's Outfit Details:
Cami - Old Navy (not seen, except a peep on the bottom)
Off White slouchy shirt - H&M
Pearl link cardigan - CAbi
Herringbone pants - Old Navy
Black Cheri Shoes -
Necklace - Ann Taylor Loft

Last Tuesday's Outfit 08/18/09

Just back from my weekend trip from Toledo, Ohio visiting the BF's family. I was so tired...our flight got delayed because of weather, but I had to come into work, so I opted for something super easy to slip on.

Last Tuesday's Outfit Details:
Patterned kimono sleeve shirt - Target
Grey pants - Old Navy
Black sandals - Nine West
Jewelry - JC Penney (?)

No clue why I put my hair in front since I crop my face out, but whatever. There's little Napoleon trying to get in my picture!

Thursday's Outfit 08/06/09

I blur out the background in my pictures because I typically take my pics right by the little area I have for my doggies. It's not cute, so I just blur it all out: water/food bowls and kennels.

Here's me before the makeup that I apply on the road or in the parking lot at work. I have no clue why I do this other than I wait until the last possible minute to get up every day. It's just a part of my ritual and I'm used to it. I wear contacts mostly, but lately I've been wearing my glasses because my contacts will irritate my eyes some.

Outfit Details:
Black/blue smocked waist tank - JCPenney
Blue cardigan - Target
Grey pants - Old Navy
Black wedges - Payless

Wednesday's Outfit 08/05/09

Back to taking pictures of myself each morning, the next couple of posts are what I wore last week.

The first week of the month is always a crazy time at work. I work in accounting/financial analysis, so during close it's crazy busy and I literally do not leave my desk all day long. On these days I tend to wear higher heels since I'm not moving around a lot.

On your busy days at work, do you have any go to outfits?
Outfit Details:
Green/white faux wrap dress - CAbi
White s/s cardi - Target
Brown belt - NY and Co
Tan Cherie shoes -
Gold necklace - F21

I have been eyeing these shoes from Aldo FOREVER!!!

Over the weekend I went to the outlet mall here and made my way into the Aldo store. These puppies were on SALE - Score!

Of course, I had to get both the black and natural brown color, they didn't have them in the store, but they can order them for you and it comes with Free Shipping.

I think I seriously have a problem, but I have been dreaming of these shoes since they came out in late May.

And Finally....

The last two stops of the Full Service tour were Dallas and Houston. Of course I had to go to these two shows, they were in Texas!
Thursday night started off with a party at Ghostbar benefitting Susan G. Komen.

Outfit Details: Earrings - F21, Dress - F21 (Faith 21), Pink clutch - Target
Joe McIntyre walking in
Danny, Donnie, and Jon
That's me in the corner w/my big smile...hanging out after the party at the hotel. I don't typically smoke, but Jon Knight offered me a ciggy....I said yes. oh well.
The next day at the meet & greet...
Outfit details: Dress - F21 (Faith 21), black sandals - Nine West, Earrings - F21
I always try to stand by Joe McIntyre, he's my favorite!
There was an after party after the concert, and here is my quick snap with Joe (not the best picture of me, but I'll take it)!
End of Houston concert on Saturday

The tour ended in Houston and even though I'm sad it's over, I'm so glad I went to all these shows...I've met really great friends who "get" the whole NKOTB thing. I'm not going on the cruise, but if/when they tour again, I'll be at some of those shows as well!

Vegas Baby!

Another stop on my NKOTB Full Service tour...Las Vegas.
Some pictures (some courtesy of my friend, Daphne)...

Help Me Decide

The last few days of July I finally placed my order. Here is the shoe I chose (Berlin):

So super cute, right? I thought so. But then I got the email earlier this week and wasn't too in love with any of my choices so I hedged my bet and selected the Send me other Choices option (love this!). My other choices included the Cherie shoe from June, but in Black!

What's a girl to do? Should I #1 Keep the Berlin, July choice #2 Keep the Cherie, August choice or #3 Keep them both? (A girl can never have enough black shoes, you know).

I have issues with buying multiples if it's something I really like and I really do like the Cherie shoe and have gotten tons of compliments on them. Let me know what you think!

What I've Been Doing on My Summer Vacation

Uh, no, I don't have a summer vacation...I work all year, but this summer I've had so much fun spending time being a NKOTB "groupie," acting like I was 10 years old again running through a water park, and generally hanging out with friends.

My first NKOTB stop on their Full Service tour was in Cincinnati, Ohio. Originally, we planned on going to the Noblesville, Indiana show on 06/28/09, but a few days before our concert date, one of the girls just happened to search on tickets for the Cincy show and POW!!! we had 4th row pit seats for Cincy. How did that happen....and how were we really going to do this? I call it my Midwest mini-tour. We flew into Chicago on 06/27/09, drove to Indiana (3 hours), stopped in Noblesville, freshened up and got ready for our drive to Cincinnati (2 more hours). It was a lot of driving, most of which I did (I'm a control freak, I can't help it!), but SO worth it! I had no clue that when you go to the Cincinnati venue, you dip into Kentucky for all of 5 basically, I visited 4 states in two days (I guess technically 5 since I started out in Texas)! Just to give you a taste, this is how close I was to the stage in Cincinnati.

Yes, that is me and my huge Kool-Aid smile with a sign like I'm 13 years old. My friends were all into the signs and I was like, "uh, no" but when we got to the concert, I tell you, the 13 year old in me took over.

My outfit details:

Brown pleated neck dress - Ann Taylor Loft, Flip flops (not seen) - Old Navy, Turquoise earrings - Forever 21, Smirk - gift from God (ha! ) I'm not at all trying to be sexy, more than anything, I'm making fun of myself, but I thought it was funny, that's all the confetti that showered us at the end of the show

We drove back to Noblesville, IN, got some sleep then did it all again the next day. I didn't get to meet up with Kimberly, but did make a pit stop at H&M, had to take advantage of where I was! Our seats were not great for the Indy concert, but we did get to go to the meet & greet. I love Joe McIntyre!

Outfit Details: Red side tie dress - Forever 21 (Faith 21), Nude heels - Michael Antonio via (they were my August choice too in black!), Jewelry - Forever 21

More NKOTB craziness later, and no, this isn't turning into a NKOTB blog, but I wanted to share my mini tour shenanigans and post some outfits as well. I am starting to get back into taking pictures every day and will post more when I have time. If you're at all interested in seeing my actual concert pictures, please email me and I'll send you my Facebook link.

I love ShoeDazzle! Thanks Kimberly for letting me know about this fab site.

I joined last month and got my fabulous Cherie shoes in the mail not but about 5 days after selecting them. And can I just tell you how many compliments I've received???? About a million (okay, stretching the truth, but it's A LOT!)!

If you don't know all about ShoeDazzle, take a look around their site and learn all you want to know. But basically, here is the info: you sign up with your username/password, answer some questions about your personal style, input your credit card info, and viola!, you're in! The lovely stylists over at ShoeDazzle use your answers to the style questions to pick out 5 styles of shoes for you each month. Each pair is $39 (which includes the shipping + handling) and it's a no obligation type of deal. If for any reason you don't like or want the shoes the stylists have selected, you can opt to skip a month and/or you can request another group of shoes to select from. I think this is a win-win on my part. The shoes are not designer shoes, they're mainly Michael Antonio brand, but how fun is it to be in a "shoe of the month" club? I love the concept and so far have had no issues.

I will point one thing out though that I just learned this month. If you do not either make a selection or opt out for the month by the 5th of the month, ShoeDazzle will still charge your card, but you will be issued a shoe credit good for another pair of shoes. This means, maybe you did not get to either select your shoe or you just weren't sure, you can get 2 pair the next month or just take longer to decide what you really want to do. Tons of questions are answered in their FAQs section, I just did not obviously read them thoroughly!

Have you joined ShoeDazzle? If so, what do you think? Love them or hate them?

On a side note: I know I have not been posting my daily outfits much, but I hope that I will be able to pick back up soon. I appreciate all who read/follow/subscribe to the blog and I will be back in "full force" soon!

What Day Is It Again????

I have a few pics to post still, and I have no clue what day I wore what, so here it all is...

Brown Dress - ATL (It has a flat pleated neckline...I swear I just got this, so not sure why it's not on the site anymore)
Cardi w/rosette - ATL (I know the pic is washed out, but you get the idea)
Leopard belt - Target
Necklace - Forever21
Metallic strappy wedges - Target (I LOVE these and this day one of the straps to get them fixed!)
*No clue why I look so mad in the picture...promise, I'm not!

Black cami - AGX
Black lace, smocked shirt - Faith21
Herringbone pants - Old Navy
Clover necklace - Forever21
Black peeps - Enzo

Black ruffle neck shirt, white trim - SimplyFashion
Red peep toe heels - Madeline, Ross

The brown dress and this linen skirt are really some of the better outfits I've worn lately. I have no clue what the deal is, I blame it on a combination of things...not feeling good about myself, work stress, and no inspiration for the lack of posting and blah outfits. I know it will pass, so I'll keep trekking along.
How do you deal with a fashion slump?

10 From Last Wednesday

I'm trying to catch up with the posts, but I'm so freaking busy at work! This is why my blog has been project at work is serious business.

When I get home, sometimes the last thing I want to do is get on the computer...anyone else feel like that?

Last Wednesday's Outfit

S/S cable cardi - Target
Grey pants - Old Navy
Grey peeps - Payless
I had to blur out all my mess on the floor....a bag with 2 pair of shoes I need to get redone.

09 Tuesday's Outfit

Here's another version of the scarf as a belt that actually worked and stayed in place all day!

Tuesday's Outfit

White cami (not seen) - AGX
Blue ruffle shirt - Old Navy (you can't really see the ruffle, but it's there)
Brown pants - Forth and Towne
Scarf - Thrifted
Brown heels - Steve Madden
Clover Cluster Necklace - Forever21 I have to say it, love, lover F21's cheap and chic!

08 Monday's Outfit

Over the first weekend in June I hit up Ann Taylor Loft and scored a couple of great final sale items for $14.88! I love ATL's final sale can score some great deals at price points of $4.88-$19.88, of course your best bet is to try everything on so you can be sure it fits properly. Anyone else scored some great stuff at ATL's final sale rack?

Monday's Outfit

Floral, smocked shirt - ATL
Navy crops - NY and Co
Off white s/s cardi - ATL
Belt - NY and Co
Heels - Nine West

The sleeveless shirt has a pretty floral detail and a smocked it, this is going to be a great summer staple. The cardi has a little rosette detail on the left side, just a little delicate touch!

05 Casual Friday

Here's a scarf as a belt look that didn't work so well for me. I love the color and the idea, but because my shirt is linen, the scarf didn't really stay in place and I had to move it around all time maybe I'll use some fabric tape or something to keep it in place

Friday's Outfit

Cami - AGX
Navy Linen shirt - Target
Grey crops - Old Navy
Scarf - Target
Sandals - Nine West via

Proof of the scarf movement and my cute dog, Belle!
