31 Let the Countdown Begin

Happy NYE!! I'm at work today, but I'm sure that we'll be leaving early, as my boss has been telling us to leave early each day this week...yea!
Today's Outfit
Natural color sweater - DressBarn (There was a DB by where I work that was going out of business and their stuff was 60-80% off...had to grab up some stuff)
White cami - AGX
Gap Edition boot cut jeans - Forth and Towne
Cream faux suede ruffle pumps - Target (these are named, Veronica...just like me!)
Brushed gold clover necklace - JCPenney

Here are pics of the shoes and necklace close up (sorry, not trying to show any cleavage!)

Last of all, I hope everyone has a FABULOUS New Year's Eve! Whatever you do, please be safe and have a great time! I'll have pics from my NYE festivities and what I wore.

30 It's Almost NYE!

I had to break out some of my great deals I got over the weekend. I kind of feel like Obi-Wan Kanobi (uh, I had to google how to spell that), but I REALLY love longer cardigans that have a self belt or in this case, a tie that is attached.

Today's Outfit
Cream cap sleeve shirt - BR
Cream tie cardigan - JCPenney
Herringbone trousers - Old Navy
Brown faux suede heels - Target
Gold disk necklace - NY and Co

You can't really see the shirt I have underneath the cardigan, but it's this one from BR. And here are the shoes, that were on clearance for $15! These shoes are very comfortable and of course since I tend to buy multiples, I had to get them in black as well....can you really have too many black heels? I got the cardigan above in gray too!

29 Back to Work...blah

It's back to work, but come on, really? If your place of employment is anything like mine, yes, we are here and yes, we are working, but really? Everyone might spend a little bit more time getting to work, maybe leaving a bit early, or even taking a longer time at lunch. The parking lot is tons more manageable and the drive isn't bad at all!

Monday's Outfit
White Cami - AGX
Purple swing cardi - Dress Barn
Black pants - Target
Black pumps - Enzo, Macy's

Here's a detail shot of my sweater, this is way closer to the actual color of the sweater...I've tried all the settings on my camera, tried with all lights on, all lights off, standing here, standing there....I don't get it, but oh well!

Who watched The City last night? OMG...LOVE IT!! I love Whitney's clothes, shoes, hair, everything! They really made her step it up (I know it helps that she's "working" at DVF) with the clothing and shoe choices. I absolutely loved her outfit she wore when she met Jay for dinner the first night (I think?). What does everyone think about Jay? I'm not that into him...he's a Justin Bobby knock off, of course this is my first impression/opinion of him...we'll see. What about Olivia? She sure was asking tons of questions about Jay to Whitney! She's so freaking gorgeous though! UPDATE: I just read this on JA's blog....hmmmmm. I mean, I know it's not "real" but it's already that fake?

What are your NYE plans? The BF and I are going to din-din with friends for sushi and then to a bar over here that does not charge an outrageous amount of cover, and we can actually sit down, enjoy some cocktails and chit-chat! What will you wear? I still haven't decided, but need to do that soon!

This could seriously be my go-to outfit of choice....I love this boyfriend cardigan and receive tons of compliments on the entire outfit!

I was very happy to spend time with my family this Christmas. My sister, brother-in-law, and brother all came in to my parents house. I haven't seen my sister in a while since she lives in DC and is getting ready to move out of the country for work, but hey, I have a built in vacay sometime this next year! My mother does a fabulous job of cooking everything and we all (me, bf, sis, bro-in-law, brother, mom, and dad) enjoyed all the yummy food she prepared, with some help from me this year! We then all made our way to my aunt and uncle's house to visit with some cousins and then over to another cousin's house who welcomed an addition to the family the day after Christmas! So exciting!

I've been reading tons of blogs about after Christmas shopping and must say I have really helped out our economy! I started my shopping on Christmas day because I had been eyeing tons of items at NY and Co and with my trusty little gift card, I couldn't help myself! The day after Christmas, I went with my friends, Melissa and Lynette to Target (of course!) and Dots. I found some stuff at Target on clearance that I wanted and that needed a home....very good deals. Dots, not so much....nothing going on there, but Dots is a hit or miss place most of the time. We'll definitely be back there!

Saturday, Melissa and I made our way to JC Penney and ladies.....let me tell you that this place has some fabulous deals! I got 2 shawl cardis, a dress, 2 wrap cardis, and a necklace all for under $100! Melissa got some hot Nicole Miller heels for NYE for under $25! Most of their stuff was 60% off plus, we took advantage of a coupon. We met up with Hill and hit Macy's, Banana, NY and Co, and Ann Taylor Loft....all of us got some super deals that day...can't wait to wear them and post the pics! I have to say, I've put BR on the back burner and instead love it's cheaper sister, Old Navy. But, after seeing the great sale, I think BR and I will become fast friends! The same with Loft...they do have some great deals and I kind of counted them out, but I think I love them again.

Playing Catch Up....Well, Sort of

Been kind of lazy with all the Holiday stuff going on, but wanted to play a little catch up with the blog posts and every day outfits!

22 Dec 08 Outfit

Top: Blue shirt - JCPenney
Gray swing cardi - Kohl's
Bottom: Navy Pinstripe pants - Old Navy
Accessories: Gray belt - Charming Charlie
Silver circle necklace - NY and Co
Shoes: Gray heels - Shoe Cents

Not so sure about the neckline on this shirt, but I'm going to work with it since I love the color! I didn't wear the cardi all day, but it was a bit chilly, so I wore it going to work.

Friday Night

Friday Night my boyfriend and I went to our annual Christmas party with friends.

Some pics from the night...

Details: My boyfriend and I in front of one of the Christmas trees! I had on this cowl neck dress that I got a while ago, but for the life of me can't remember where I got it from! I know for sure it was from one of those hoochie stores b/c it was short (I have black tights and these black shoes on) and note to self (and a tip for anyone reading this) when you wear material that is so cheap, you need to wear a cami of like color underneath. I did have a slip on, so there was no issue with the bottom, but had a natural color bra on that showed through in pics...yikes! Oh well, next time I'll do better.

Great group of ladies....all the guys are taking turns with each camera.

Here's me, Melissa, and Hill

Some of the pics I took left much to be desired (especially after some drinks and food!), and it kind of became a little joke at how uncomfortable I look when taking a picture. It's true....I tense up, fake smile, look funny, etc. A friend's boyfriend told me I need to act more natural....I try, but it doesn't work! I need some lessons from a former Miss Photogenic or something. I don't always think some of the pictures I take really look like me, but oh well. I'm going to try to relax in pictures more.

There wasn't any mistletoe at the party this year, so boyfriend and I decided to make do with the tree. It's our "annual" picture...here are some from the past 2 Christmas parties...

Top Left: Christmas 2006
Lower Left: Christmas 2007

Top Right: Christmas 2008

Notice drink in hand for both 2006 and 2008, I'm sure the drink was in the other hand for 2007!

19 Friday's Outfit

When I saw this shirt at Target, I loved it! I came back a few weeks later and what do you know? It was on clearance so I had to get it! Hill has one too....great minds think alike! I tried looking for the blue one as well, but no luck, but purple is my favorite color. Again, the setting and lighting, not so good, but it's purple.

Top: Purple mock turtleneck banded top - Target
Bottom: Khaki pants - Target
Shoes: Garnet peep toe heels - Ross

17 Wednesday's Outfit

I took an idea from Kimberly and tried the top over the dress, in my case cardigan over the dress. I liked it and got tons of compliments on this outfit!

I've been browsing lot of blogs for new outfit ideas, and am so inspired!

Today's Outfit
Top: Black Cardigan - Old Navy
Dress: Black and red dress - JC Penney
Shoes: Black patent booties - Payless
Accessories: Black belt - came with a skirt (JCP)
Black tights - Target
Pearl and black necklace - Charming Charlie

Thanks for all the wonderful bloggers out there that help me with new outfit ideas!

16 Tuesday's Outfit

This came out soooo dark. I had every light on and tried the different settings, but no luck. Maybe next time I wear this, I can take a picture outside in natural light.

Today's Outfit
Top: Purple metallic stripe long sleeve - NY and Co
Vneck dark purple sweater - Target
Bottom: Black trousers - Target
Shoes: Black heel boots - Hillard and Hanson

I just took these pants, that I've decided will be more of my casual black pants, to the alterations lady. Check out Trace's post on alterations, and let your opinion be heard. I'm the kind of girl who needs pants hemmed and taken in at the waist. My seamstress sews double darts to take the waist in and then really takes her time measuring and making sure the hem is just the way I like it. Another tip I didn't add in my comments on Trace's blog is that I try to wear the shoes (heels in my case) that I will most often be wearing when taking pants to get altered. If I don't know, I wear 2 1/2 inch heels because my shoes vary.

All Things Target

Is it possible? Someone who loves Target as much (maybe more) than I do!

15 Monday's Outfit

I haven't posted anything because I'm facing reality that there aren't a lot of outfits I have worn lately that are blog worthy. But, I told myself that since my blog is named, "Everyday Wear," I need to go ahead and post all of my outfits. It's real life...and in real life I don't always look so super stylish, but at least I try.

Here's what I wore today. I need to take a detail pic of the pants...they come out as black or super dark navy, but they have a very small pinstripe of grey and blue. I think this outfit could have benefited from a brooch or pin of some kind, but I don't have any, so maybe that's what I'll be on the lookout for.

Today's Outfit
Top: White 3/4 sleeve v-neck - H and M
Grey capelet (is this what you call it?) - Dressbarn (one of my 60% off items!)
Bottom: Navy pinstripe pants - Old Navy
Shoes: Navy blue pointy toe shoes - Nine West, Shoe Cents (hello, Nine West for $19 plus 30% off? Come on....I had to! And I had to in brown as well!)

Oh, and my "Self Imposed Ban" yeah......um, that didn't last long at all! But I have to say it's because I found some excellent deals at a couple of places that were going out of business! 60% off of merchandise....you can't go wrong there.
My boyfriend told me I reminded him of this, but I think he really meant this. Both Julie Andrews movies, but when I looked them up, I realized there is no capelet anywhere, so he must have been thinking of this.

04 Self Imposed Ban

I've put myself on a spending ban. So, I'm going to not buy myself anything for the rest of the month. This is going to be hard. By anything, I mean shoes, clothes, accessories. I have now two closets full of these items and have plenty that I can remix and try out.

So, why on day #1 of my self imposed spending ban does NY and Co tempt me with 50% off their tops? I really, really, really LOVE this top from NY and Co!

#1 I already have enough white shirts. I went through a phase during college when I literally had at least 15 white button down shirts! Some were long sleeve, short sleeve, 3/4 sleeve, sleeveless....you get the picture.

#2 I don't have a strapless bra. Honestly, I've never found a strapless bra to fit these 36D's! I mean, I've been to Victoria's Secret, JCPenney, Nordstrom's, Macy's, and they all tell me they can find me the perfect one....well, they haven't! I've purchased one from each of these places hoping it would be true, but the dang bra falls off or gaps or whatever. I thought maybe Intimacy (Susan Nethero's "The Bra Whisperer" baby) would be able to help. I loved the regular bra I purchased there, but the strapless one I kind of liked was like $140! I guess in the grand scheme of things, this would be a great purchase since I might be able to wear strapless or one shoulder garments, but Lord, that's a lot! I already purchased a regular bra for $90.

#3 I can't really wear it right now during this winter weather.

#4 I don't need it. boo.

Any ladies know where I can get a fab strapless bra that will stay on for my size?

Is It Me????

Okay, have I lost my mind or what? I got a nice little coupon from NY and Co wanting me to of course buy online. Free shipping...this is great, right? But, I have another coupon I want to take advantage of as well. So, I go and try to do this, but it will only take one discount code????!!!!???? If I'm doing something wrong, please, someone, let me know. I think this is crappy....you should be able to take advantage of both free shipping and a discount!

By the way, if you read my post from yesterday, I forgot to mention something about the Britney "documentary". WHAT THE - was up with Madonna's face??? I mean, really. I just saw Madonna in concert a few weeks ago, and even though I wasn't all up in her face, she didn't look like that. I've seen pics of her "new face" online, but the MTV thing took the cake. I miss old Madonna.

I'm Almost Done...

So, I moved Thanksgiving weekend and our place is still a mess! I haven't even set up the pc, but I've been taking pictures for the past couple of days. I should be back to regular posting by next week, but will continue to take pictures of my Everyday Wear while away! Of course, I'll still be reading everyone's blogs (but only, "during lunch" at work....hehe!).

Things to think about: (fashion and non-fashion related)
* Did anyone watch the Britney "documentary" on MTV? I can't help it, I still love Brit Brit...she needs to get her act together so Justin will want her back...I mean, seriously!
* I think The City will be WAY better than The Hills. LC, Lo, and Audrina kind of get on my nerves....don't get me started on Speidi. Plus, I think NYC is just a better backdrop for a "reality" show that I'd be into.
* I did not participate in Black Friday shopping....I HATE the mall during the holidays. I will only go into the mall during my lunch break from now through January. When I do go to the mall, I only go to the store I have already decided upon....none of this walking around business. I can walk at work, at home, and on the treadmill.
* I did, however, participate in Cyber Monday shopping....at OldNavy.com. I love ON! So practical for Everyday Wear. I purchased pants, jeans, tops for 20% off, then free shipping and a GC to boot....only paid $83 for 2 or 3 (can't remember), 1 jean, 2 tops....all that for $83!!

**Did I mention how I haven't purchased any gifts and all my shopping was for myself? Yeah, I'm selfish like that!

26 Wednesday's Outfit

Got to leave work early on Wednesday....that's always a treat! But instead of packing, what do you think I did? I went shopping! Nothing major and actually no clothing or accessories, but I still managed to not pack.
I won't be fighting the crowds at the mall or any other store today (Friday). I typically steer clear of the mall on the weekends prior to Christmas...I don't enjoy the crowds. And I do a lot of shopping online for gifts, as I will this year.

Today's Outfit
Top: Dark green v-neck sweater - H&M
White cami- don't remember where
Bottom: Gap edition jean - Forth and Towne
Shoes: Tan boots - Don't remember where
Scarf: Oblong printed scarf - Perry Ellis, thrifted

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and if you're going shopping...have fun! I'm moving this weekend, so no posts until sometime next week (hopefully). Have to get the pc hooked up and all that!

25 Tuesday's Outfit

No creativity here. I've been slacking, and I know it, but I have the big move coming up tomorrow and trying to get everything sorted out.

Today's Outfit
Top: Colorblock cardigan - Merona, Target
Pants: Navy Pinstripe pants - Old Navy
Shoes: Black pumps - Enzo, Macy's

Here's the last of my gang of dogs. This is Vader...he's super cute, but super bad. Everyone who meets my dogs likes Vader the most because he's always on his best behavior when new people are around, but once they leave, forget it! He's moody and only listens when he wants to (wow...kind of like his owner!).

24 Monday's Outfit

I can't believe Thanksgiving and my move are all happening this week! I'm nervous about the move...just want everything to run smoothly, but I'm such a procrastinator, that I'm sure I'll be up all night Thursday and Friday!
What is up with the weather here in Houston? It was so cold last week, then yesterday it was 80 degrees! Today the high was going to be somewhere in the low 80's, so I decided to not wear tights.

Today's Outfit
Top: Purple cardigan - NY and Co
White cami - AGX
Bottom: Skirt - NY and Co
Shoes: Black pumps - Enzo, Macy's
Belt: Black skinny belt - NY and Co

Friday, November 21, 2008

21 Yea...It's Friday!

It's so cold today in Houston (by our standards)....I love it!

Today's Outfit
Top: 3/4 sleeve, white v-neck - Merona, Target
Purple boyfriend cardigan - Mossimo, Target (on clearance now for $14)
Bottom: Gap edition boot cut jeans - Forth and Towne
Shoes: Tate Oxford Bootie - Payless
Scarf: Purple Deco Floral Scarf - Xhileration, Target (here's detail of the scarf as well)

This weekend I'm participating in another garage sale (I hope my stuff sells again!), going to a friend's party, and I'm starting to pack for my move the weekend of Thanksgiving. I'm not so excited about the move, because packing is NO fun! I plan on getting a lot of my things moved the day after Thanksgiving though so the BF and moving crew (friends) only have the heavy lifting on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

20 It's Almost Friday!

So super busy at work today!

Today's Outfit
Top: Deep red charmeuse top - Apt 9, Kohl's
Skirt: Grey herringbone skirt - Worthington, JCP
Tights: black tight - Merona, Target
Shoes: Tate Oxford Bootie - Payless

I'd been wanting shooties/booties for a while now. Of course I didn't want to pay a lot for them since I know they're more of a trend piece. I saw some at Target and these at Payless, but they're still $30 and to me, that's a bit higher than I would expect to pay at either of the stores. Hill informed me that they were on sale and I went right over there to Payless last night to grab them up! I used to have a pair of shoes similar to this in junior high...how cute!

I tried looking for the link to the skirt on JCP.com, but couldn't find it...I just got the skirt a couple of months ago, so was surprised, but oh well. I love paper bag waist skirts (I think that's what they're called) and wanted one even though I know it doesn't 100% flatter my figure. When I originally bought it, I picked up two...one black and the one I have on. I came to terms that it wasn't the best purchase since it didn't look great, but since I loved it so much I would settle with okay.

19 Wednesday's Outfit

I need to spend some time figuring out what I want to wear, what I want to buy, and how to put it all together. Lately (the past couple of weeks), I've been having a hard time figuring out what to wear. Like I've said before, I have all these clothes, but no idea how to get it together. I think researching online and looking through magazines might help a bit, so after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend (my move weekend), I'll try to focus on that....baby steps!

Today's Outfit
Top: Red long sleeve, button up shirt - H&M (NYC or DC, can't remember)
Pants: Herringbone pants - Old Navy
Shoes: Black pointy heels - Nine West, Steinmart
Belt: Black patent belt - Xhileration, Target

What do you all think about the French cuffs on this shirt? I think it's cute, but then I kind of feel weird...I ended up rolling them up for work today.

18 What am I Missing?

I finally got my two pair of pants back from the alterations place yesterday. I had forgotten to pick them up all last week. I'm happy that I now have two more pair of pants to wear!

I feel like something is missing with this outfit. I think a belt, but I don't have a skinny silver or grey one, or even a brown one. I think I'm going to have to add that to my "must get" list. Tell me what you think....what's missing?

This weekend, I headed over to my local Target and saw that they were having an additional 30% off their already marked down clearance! Hello, I scored 2 cardigans and 1 shirt, each for under $9! I even got 3 pair of panties for less than $2 (for the set of them).

Today's Outfit
Top: White, short sleeve pin tucked shirt - NY and Co
Navy blue cardigan - Merona, Target
Bottom: Navy pin stripe pants - Old Navy
Shoes: Grey faux suede Angel pumps - IM, Target

This is me, no makeup yet, with one of my dogs. This is the one I was helping a friend out with to look for a home and he stayed at my place. His name is Napoleon (I didn't give him this name, but didn't want to change it), he's all of 3.5 lbs, and looks like a little Gremlin sometimes!

17 Ugh...it's Monday

So, I'm posting this on Tuesday, but I know what I wanted to "say" yesterday....
This weekend was so busy! Friday night was the bf's birthday "get together." He's so low maintenance (we balance each other out in that way!), we went with some friends to go see the new James Bond movie and then headed to a small neighborhood bar. I actually didn't stay that long, his friends could handle it, because I had to get ready for the garage sale on Saturday morning.

Hill, myself, and a couple of other friends sold lots of stuff at the garage sale! So much that we're going to have another one this Saturday....I can't wait....I made a little over $200 on Saturday. I guess it pays off to buy in multiples?!! (Does anyone else have this problem?) I literally had the exact same pair of NY and Co cuffed capris in black (4 pair), navy, khaki, army green, pin stripe, burgundy....(you get the picture) to sell.

Sunday was a friend's skating party. I didn't skate, but I tried my luck at wearing thesenew shoes I got from gojane.com. They're super tall, and super cute, but not everyday wear shoes; mostly for when I go out. I decided to buy them from gojane.com because they have such great prices for some of the really trendy type of shoes that I know I'm not going to wear a lot. I just can't see paying over $100 for some shoes I know I'll only wear a few times. This site makes things affordable! After the skating party, I headed out to the Madonna concert with some friends! She's such an awesome performer, I was hoping for more of the older songs, but I guess that will come when she says she's retiring or when she releases another Greatest Hits album.

I was so, so, so tired this morning I even wore my glasses to work! I've only done this 3x in my life....you know I had to be too tired to put the contacts in. I think my lack of motivation showed in my outfit choice as well.

Today's Outfit
Top: Pink v-neck sweater - Forth and Towne
White cami tank - AGX
Bottom: Maroon cuffed pants - Worthington, JCP
Shoes: Brown pumps - Anne Klein, Macy's
Necklace: Vendor in NYC

14 Casual Friday

Well, I haven't uploaded pics for a couple of days, but thought about what my posts would say...

Today's Outfit
Top: Short sleeve, button down teal shirt - Worthington, JCP
3/4 Black, crop sweater - Mossimo, Target
Bottom: Gap Edition, Boot cut jeans - Forth and Towne
Shoes: Black pointy toe slingbacks - Parade (These are so, so, so old!)

How many pair of black shoes can one girl have? I seriously have at least 20 pair! And that's just me thinking about what I have and not actually counting. When I move in a couple of weeks...(yikes!), I'm going to take inventory.

13 Thursday's Outfit

I spent a few hours last night getting ready for the garage sale I'm participating in this weekend. I have SO many clothes that I do not wear! So many that might not fit right, I forgot I had, or I just got tired of. I was watching Oprah from yesterday and saw it was their Clean Up Your Messy House episode....I need this! I made lots of room for my clothes to breathe so when I move (in a couple of weeks), I'm going to put some of the suggestions in practice. One of the suggestions on Oprah was to hang your hangers in the reverse direction and every time you wear a piece of clothing, hang it back the "right" way to determine which pieces you don't wear in a six month period. You can then get rid of those clothes.

I'm definitely going to put that into practice at our new place!

Today's Outfit
Top: Sleeveless, grey, floral print top - Old Navy
Bordeaux, rib knit cardigan - Old Navy
Bottom: Navy twill pants - Old Navy
Shoes: Plum peep toe, faux suede t-straps - Nine West, Macy's

12 Wednesday's Outfit

I had no clue what to wear today....I didn't plan my outfit last night and it took me a while to find something to wear. I have 4 closets in my apartment for clothes and I have 3 1/2 of them filled with my clothes. My boyfriend gets 1/2 of one closet! And I couldn't find anything to wear this morning! Ever feel like that? I guess I really need to take more time to plan ahead....

These pants are great, but I never know what to wear them with. Last time I wore them, well, I didn't really feel great the whole day. Any suggestions on what to wear with these maroon pants?

I do plan to make a dent in my closet space this weekend, I'm selling some of my clothes in a garage sale Saturday. No shoes though....I just can't part with most of them. This weekend I also have the Madonna concert....can't wait to go to that!

Today's Outfit
Top: Black cami - Linda Leal, Steinmart
Plaid cardi - NY and Co
Bottom: Maroon cuffed pants - Worthington, JCP
Shoes: Black pumps - Enzo, Macy's
Belt: Black skinny belt - NY and Co
Jewelry: Black and pearl necklace (and earrings, not shown) - Charming Charlie

11 Sweet and Sassy

Just like me, sweet (a little bit) and sassy (a lot), today's dress needed to be punched up a little, so I added the studded belt.

Had an amazing weekend in Austin with some great girlfriends, attended a 20's themed shower and bachlorette party, so it was good that I kept my flapper costume from 2 years ago. I'm so tired still though!

Today's Outfit
Dress: Black Ruffle Dress - Mossimo, Target
Shoes: Red Patent Pumps - IM, Target
Belt: Black studded belt
Tights: Black opaque tights - Merona, Target

07 With or Without Casual Friday

I'm happy it's Friday...have a very nice girls weekend planned for a friend's bachlorette party in Austin. I'm going to visit a high school friend while I'm in Austin as well...haven't seen her in about 5 years, so it should be great!

Belt or no belt? I like with, because you can see my waist, but not sure. My bf said he thought it was a bit much, what do you think?

Another reason to LOVE Target

For the past two years I've wanted these gloves from Nordstrom. When I REALLY want something, I don't have any issue paying for them. But, I did think that $148 was a lot for gloves, especially when they aren't lined with cashmere and I'd probably get to wear them a total of 5 times a year. So, I decided to just wait and maybe they would go on sale (like how they are now!), but the last two times they went on sale, my local Nordstrom was sold out and by the time I got online, they only had the metallic ones, not the black ones. I figured this would be the year I could purchase them.

So cute!

But, yesterday on my weekly Target stop, I decided to go to a different location than I typically go to, and look what I found! They were $19.99 and the tag said 100% leather. So, these aren't as long as the ones at Nordstrom, they don't go all the way to my elbow, but they fit pretty close!

Even cuter for the price!

06 Surprise....it's from Target!

Obviously, I love Target. It really has just transformed since I was younger...I used to not like any of their clothes at all. They started stepping it up and now I go there at least twice a week. I guess sometimes I prefer it so I don't have to go to the mall. One thing I really hate is making a trip to the mall...I love clothing and shoes, but just hate fighting crowds, trying to find a spot to park, etc.

Shoes: Gray faux suede, Angel pumps - IM, Target

31 Spooky Casual Friday

No Halloween costume post here....that happened last weekend at the Halloween party.

I got an email asking why I crop my head out of the pictures I post daily, and I guess it's confession time. I don't put my makeup on at home in the morning (I think maybe I should have included this in my honest weblog info). I put my make up on in my car on my way to work. I know, I know, it's dangerous and not good to do that, but guess what? I do. I don't try to put stuff on while I'm actually moving, but when I'm at a light, I put my make up on. I don't wear a lot during the week either, so it's quick and easy. I don't look bad without make up, but I look better with it. So, that's why. On to the outfit....

Today's Outfit
Top: White cami tank - AGX
Blue (see through!) cardi - Mossimo, Target
Bottom: Brown twill pants - Merona, Target
Shoes: Red patent wedge peep toes - Madeline Stuart, Ross

It's going to be in the 80's this weekend here in Houston....so much for fall!
